The Students’ Week and General Assembly 2023 will take place in Portugal

18 October 2023

The Polytechnic University of Leiria (Portugal) will host the third RUN-EU Students’ Week and the General Assembly (GA) between 13 and 17 November 2023.

The event will enable RUN-EU student representatives to take part in the Students Week, and participate in the four following Short Advanced Programme (SAP) on ‘Aspects of Interregional Development’:

The SAP Challenges themes provide students with a multidisciplinary learning environment within the framework of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), supporting them with tools to innovate, strengthen the importance of people in the economy and influence the future of society.

The General Assembly is a strategic governing body that acts as a Senate for the Alliance and meets once a year during Students Week.

Bringing together Presidents, Rectors, CEOs, Associated Partners, students, and the RUN-EU Management Committee, this assembly stands as a pivotal forum.

The key objective is to assess and make decisions on high-level policy matters through comprehensive discussions and testimonials.

The central theme revolves around strengthening collaboration among the current seven-member universities, as well as the two newcomers for RUN-EU 2.0 – the University of Burgos (Spain) and the Howest University of Applied Sciences (Belgium).

This collaboration extends to the Associated Partners, all working collectively to advance RUN-EU’s objectives and foster regional development.
