The RUN-EU Presidents’ Meeting, Management Committee Meeting, and Research Students’ Week took place at the University of Győr – Széchenyi István University (SZE) in Hungary.

From 24 to 28 April, SZE became a vibrant hub for RUN-EU, welcoming its members Polytechnic of Leiria, the Polytechnic of Cávado and Ave (Portugal), the Technological University of the Shannon (Ireland), the Häme University of Applied Sciences (Finland), Hungary, The Netherlands, the Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences (Austria), and future members The University of Burgos (Spain), and the Howest University of Applied Sciences (Belgium), creating a rich atmosphere of collaboration and exchange.

The programme also featured exciting activities, including a visit to the renowned Audi Hungaria plant in Győr, a tour of the campus, and a Hungarian Night, providing a glimpse into the local culture and traditions.

The highlight of the week was Research Students’ Week, where students actively engaged in three Short Advanced Programme Challenges on Research:

• Delivering on the Green Transition within the EU
• Delivering on the Digital Transition within the EU
• Delivering on the Socio-Economic Transition within the EU

The challenges addressed urgent concerns such as sustainability, digitalisation, and social innovation, and the participants’ remarkable creativity and enthusiasm were truly inspiring.
