On 3 and 4 October the University of Burgos (UBU) brought together the eight RUN-EU European regions to promote entrepreneurship: Centre Region – Portugal (IPLeiria), Midlands & Midwest Regions – Ireland (TUS), Northern Region – Portugal (IPCA), Southern Region – Finland (HAMK), Friesland Province – The Netherlands (NHL Stenden), Vorarlberg Region – Austria (FHV), West-Flanders – Belgium (Howest) at the RUN-EU Knowledge Mission & Innovation Meets Regions event.

The meeting explored the innovation and entrepreneurship challenges in our regions and created a meeting point for students, researchers, entrepreneurs, investors, companies and institutions to promote their projects, create shared synergies and open up new opportunities for cooperation and proactivity between the participating regions.

The participants got to know each other through two working groups:

  • Educational Needs for Entrepreneurship
  • Regional Challenges for Successful Entrepreneurship

And two round tables:

  • The Sustainability of Innovation and Entrepreneurship
  • Interregional Cooperation for Innovation.

In addition, to promote the entrepreneurial ecosystem, an exhibition area was set up to showcase the technologies and innovations developed by entrepreneurs and researchers and to present them directly to investors and companies that could potentially use them.

FAE Burgos, the Burgos Chamber of Commerce, SODEBUR, ITCL, CEEI, and the Caja de Burgos Foundation supported the event.

Calidad Pascual, Hiperbaric, Grupo Antolín, Cerealto, Galletas Gullón, and CETECE, actively participated and supported entrepreneurs such as Iothing or Ficosterra.
