RUN-EU attended a Training and Cooperation Activity Conference in Norway

A Training and Cooperation Activity (TCA) conference titled ‘Spreading Innovative Results from European University Alliances’ took place in Bergen, Norway, from 3 to 5 May 2023.

The event, co-created by four Erasmus+ National Agencies based in Austria, Germany, Hungary, and Norway, and hosted by the Norwegian Directorate of Higher Education and Skills, brought together representatives from European University Alliances – including RUN-EU team members’ Eszter Lucácks (University of Győr – Széchenyi István University) and Frauke Dobers (Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences) –, National Agencies, other higher education institutions, national authorities, the European Commission, and various stakeholders.

This allowed for fruitful discussions on the transformative impact of European University Alliances on higher education in Europe.

During the conference, participants had the opportunity to connect, share experiences, and identify best practices. The programme featured four plenary sessions, twelve workshops, and several networking events, fostering collaboration and facilitating the exchange of ideas. The primary goal was to inspire and encourage further cooperation and innovation within the European higher education community.

The conference showcased the achievements and successes of European University Alliances, highlighting their contributions to education, research, innovation, and service to society. Participants gained valuable insights into the significance of these alliances and explored ways to further enhance higher education in Europe.

Attending the RUN-EU conference was a unique opportunity for educators, researchers, policymakers, and stakeholders invested in the future of European higher education. It allowed them to discover innovative practices, exchange ideas, and contribute to shaping the future of the educational landscape in Europe.

Overall, the conference successfully fulfilled its objective of spreading innovative results from European University Alliances. Through collaboration and knowledge sharing, participants left the event inspired and motivated to continue driving positive change in higher education institutions across Europe.
