RUN-EU is structured around seven interrelated Work Packages (WPs), each designed to drive the Regional University Network – European University toward its goals of sustainable progress and societal transformation.
These WPs represent key areas of action, from project management and the creation of joint education and research opportunities to stakeholder engagement, mobility, governance and impact. Explore below to understand how each WP contributes to building our innovative European zone for interregional development.
This work package, led by TUS, ensures the smooth running of the RUN-EU 2.0 project through professional project management, effective communication and robust monitoring and evaluation. It will establish the necessary structures and processes for the successful implementation of all project activities and deliverables.
Led by HAMK, this WP focuses on strengthening the educational mission of RUN-EU by creating new common educational opportunities in future and advanced skills. It supports pedagogical innovation and the development of different types of programmes, including SAPs, BIPs, COILs, MOOCs and European degrees.
This work package, led by TUS, aims to enhance the research and innovation capacity of RUN-EU by promoting collaborative research opportunities and engagement with external stakeholders. It will establish the RUN-European Research Area (RUN-ERA) and support the development of the research community across the Alliance.
Led by UBU, this WP focuses on creating a European Stakeholder Engagement Centre (ESEC) to stimulate systemic engagement with external stakeholders in business, industry, society, and regional government. It aims to promote entrepreneurship education, innovation labs and service-to-society initiatives.
Led by NHL Stenden, this WP aims to expand support and services for mobility opportunities across RUN-EU and raise awareness of EU values and priorities. It will focus on promoting different forms of mobility, including physical, virtual and blended options, and fostering a culture of European values.
Led by ULO, this WP works toward creating a European University with legal status, the ability to award its own degrees, and shared governance, management arrangements, and systems. It will develop strategies for the legal framework, joint degrees, shared systems and long-term sustainability of the RUN-EU alliance.
Led by ULO, this WP focuses on developing internal and external communication systems, disseminating RUN-EU 2.0 activities and results, and assessing the alliance’s impact. It will establish central communication, dissemination, and impact measurement offices to ensure broad reach and demonstrate RUN-EU’s value.
RUN-EU 2020–2023
This section contains the previous version of the RUN-EU website. The website is one of the project’s main communication and dissemination channels, aimed at increasing the visibility of RUN-EU, its objectives, ambitions, activities and results. By consulting this archived version, it is possible to follow the evolution of RUN-EU, as well as what we have achieved.
RUN-EU PLUS 2021–2024
RUN-EU PLUS, which developed Professional Degree Programmes for Business and Society, was a collaborative project undertaken for the RUN-European University by the Technological University of the Shannon (TUS), Ireland, the Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences (FHV), Austria, the Häme University of Applied Sciences (HAMK), Finland, the Polytechnic University of Leiria (IPLeiria), the Polytechnic University of Cávado and Ave (IPCA), Portugal, the NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences (NHL Stenden), the Netherlands, and the Széchenyi István University (SZE), Hungary.
The project ran from September 2021 to September 2024 and made significant strides in advancing higher education and fostering research collaboration across this European Universities alliance.
