RUN-EU EPA-Missions Schedule and Approach

11 April 2024

The RUN-EU European Programmes Academy Exploratory Missions (EPA-Missions) are weeklong, in-person knowledge-creation events that bring together students, staff and local stakeholders to review the needs of RUN-EU regions and to co-create ideas for joint learning opportunities. These learning opportunities range from short joint education opportunities (such as SAPs, COILs, MOOCs) to joint degree programmes.

In total, one EPA-Mission per RUN-EU partner is implemented, each focusing on a different thematic domain. For our new partners that joined RUN-EU in 2025, the concept is adapted to a broader EPA onboarding framework. The Final EPA-Mission consolidates the outcomes of the former missions, adds additional expertise (e.g. through Quality Assurance representatives) and offers space for interdisciplinary learning opportunities in the EU priority areas of the digital and green transitions and socio-economic challenges.

The approach to implementation of the EPA-Missions has been developed in close collaboration between working groups of the RUN-EU European Programmes Academy.
