TUS Successfully Hosted the Third EMIC Mobility Week
26 March 2025
The third RUN-EMIC mobility week took place from 10 to 14 March 2025 at the Technological University of the Shannon (TUS), with mobility experts from all alliance partners visiting the Athlone and Limerick campuses. For this edition, several Sustainability experts joined to advise on EMIC’s sustainable mobility and nature-positive measures agendas.
The programme also included discussions on the progress of the EMIC work plan and ways to further optimise current procedures to encourage and increase the mobility of students and staff across all RUN-EU programmes. With new educational formats and learning opportunities being published on an ongoing basis, EMIC plays a vital role in providing the necessary groundwork for their successful implementation.
Mobility promotion is another key responsibility of EMIC. Therefore, on Thursday, TUS students in Limerick had an opportunity to acquaint themselves with the study offer at all partners during the EMIC Market Place.
As part of EMIC’s commitment to raising awareness of European Values, Dr Tony Johnston and Dr Noelle O’Connor provided an interactive and engaging seminar on EU Values and their connection to the topic of Sustainability.
The hosts exposed all participants to Irish history and culture and there was even an opportunity to enjoy the spectacular views at the Cliffs of Mohar.
In the coming months, EMIC will continue to offer its EU Values and Ambassador Programmes and work on its first Catalogue of EMIC Supports and Services and the first Mobility Monitoring and Impact Report.
