YOUTH EXCHANGE SCHOOL
The Subtle Art of Communication
27 February 2024
The Youth Exchange School programme (YES), is an inclusive and enriching learning short-mobility experience for students, equipping them with important skills, knowledge, and intercultural competencies while promoting the EU’s priority areas and fostering a sense of European identity and cooperation.
Coordinated by the Häme University of Applied Sciences (HAMK), this edition is called ‘The Subtle Art of Communication’ and offers participants several benefits, including honing interpersonal skills, enhancing public speaking abilities, and improving conflict resolution.
In our interconnected world, communication is the lifeblood of human interaction. From verbal exchanges to nonverbal cues, understanding the dynamics of communication is key to fostering meaningful connections and effective collaboration. International communication adds a layer of complexity, transcending cultural and linguistic boundaries.
Additionally, students will gain a deeper understanding of nonverbal communication, cultural nuances, and effective listening.
Such skills are invaluable in both personal and professional realms, contributing to stronger relationships, successful collaborations, and overall career advancement.
