Empowering Higher Education: RUN-EU 2.0 launches at the Technological University of the Shannon

16 January 2024

RUN-EU’s Cycle 2.0 Kick-Off Meeting and Launch Event will take place on the 18 and 19 of January at the Technological University of the Shannon (TUS), Moylish Campus, Limerick, Ireland.

The launch marks a pivotal moment in the alliance’s evolution, it will serve both as an official welcome to the network’s newest members, the University of Burgos (UBU), Spain and the Howest University of Applied Sciences, Belgium, while positioning TUS as the first Irish Higher Education Institution (HEI) to lead a European University. The focus of RUN-EU continues to be on digital and green transformation, in addition to social inclusion.

This will bring together the Presidents of each (HEI) that make up the RUN-EU alliance along with the Executive Management Group, Strategy Steering Group, Project Coordinators and Work Package Leads to discuss the project’s initial implementation, goals, milestones and the importance of RUN-EU in the transformation of the HEI’s and their regions.

The agenda promises workshops, strategic planning sessions and key networking opportunities.

Connecting with local government representatives and furthering RUN EU’s mission to create and strengthen regional development in a European-oriented manner, this collaborative Kick-Off Meeting and Launch Event aims to set the trajectory for a transformative project, that will allow us to continue the RUN-EU mission in the coming years and further deepen and intensify the effective collaboration within our European University.
