Two RUN-EU Events at IPCA
22 May 2022
From 15 to 19 May the Polytechnic of Cávado and Ave hosted two RUN-EU events: the RUN-EU Dissemination Event, and the first Short Advanced Programme for Staff ‘RUN-EU Path’, in Barcelos, Portugal.
The RUN-EU Dissemination Event on Image and Communication provided several training sessions for the Communication and Image Offices of RUN-EU over the week. Namely in Graphic Design, Social Media, and Future Skills, counting with a very special one by the Domestic Data Streamers, from Barcelona, who provided an engaging workshop on data visualisation. It was a week filled with knowledge-sharing and mutual learning.
The Short Advanced Programme for Staff ‘RUN-EU Path’ marked a significant milestone in the alliance’s journey. The programme was tailored to meet the needs of RUN-EU staff, providing them with a platform to explore and discuss various initiatives within the European alliance. The focus was on research and, most importantly, pedagogical innovation, continuing to foster collaboration and innovation among its member institutions through a series of impactful events.
Participants had the unique opportunity to engage in workshops and modules that offered insights into the future of RUN-EU and welcomed two new partners, the University of Burgos (UBU), from Spain and Howest University of Applied Sciences, from Belgium. With their inclusion, the range of training opportunities for students within the network has expanded. Together, with the existing seven partners, they epitomize the essence of RUN-EU – ‘We are One, we are RUN.’
This week coincided with IPCA’s International Week (InWeek), which featured a collaborative Market Place event shared with the RUN-EU activities.
The Market Place event held on May 18 created a conducive environment for participants to showcase their institutions and countries to their peers and the RUN-EU community.
Additionally, the week’s programme included visits to IPCA’s partner companies and a cultural programme in the cities of Braga and Guimarães.
The week’s final event was a networking dinner, where all participants enjoyed a vibrant musical performance of IPCA’s Tuna, TMIPCA.
