RUN-EU PLUS is organising a workshop on Introduction to Research Paradigms in March 2023.

This workshop will focus on what are the broad philosophical approaches to research.

You will understand:

• How the research design links to theories of knowledge.
• How the use of different methods links to ontology and epistemology.
• What kinds of research questions can be answered using different ontological, epistemological, and methodological approaches.

The workshop on Introduction to Open Access will focus on:

• What is ontology and how is it relevant to the research process?
• What is epistemology and how is it relevant to the research process?
• How do epistemology and ontology relate to research methods and questions?

It is open to early to mid-stage researchers (students and staff) particularly anyone addressing questions that involve the use of qualitative methods or mixed methods approaches., and will take place via MS Teams.
