The University of Győr – Széchenyi Istvan University (SZE) hosted an Exploratory Mission between 4-8 April 2022.

The event brought together the presidents/rectors of the seven RUN-EU universities, as well as more than 60 lecturers, members of staff and students in Győr, Hungary.

‘Our institution is striving to strengthen its international relations. This is excellently served by the work carried out in RUN-EU, which covers all three of our institution’s missions – education, research and socio-economic’, said Dr Eszter Lukács, Vice-Rector for International Affairs at SZE, during the event.

Rui Pedrosa, President of the Polytechnic of Leiria, the coordinating institution of RUN-EU, said: ‘RUN-EU is a very important alliance in the European space, of which the Széchenyi István University is a key member. European universities like ours are at the forefront of the transformation of higher education institutions. All the institutions participating in RUN-EU put a strong emphasis on transforming their region, which is one of our key objectives’.
