The RUN European Stakeholder Engagement Centre (ESEC) serves as a dynamic hub for connecting our European University with the wider community.
We actively promote systematic engagement with key external stakeholders from business, industry, society and regional government to create meaningful impact in our regions.
Through ESEC, we empower students and staff to collaborate on initiatives that contribute to sustainable economic, social, cultural and environmental progress.

ESEC uses a quadruple helix approach to ensure that our activities are co-created and driven by the needs and expertise of academia, business, government and society.
Engaging future entrepreneurs: The RUN Entrepreneurship Programme connects business, industry and society with emerging student entrepreneurs. We support students through training, mentoring and events such as festivals to promote collaborative entrepreneurship across the RUN-EU regions. This programme is a key part of the European Stakeholder Engagement Centre (ESEC).
Connecting with business: RUN-ESEC connects business and industry with student entrepreneurs through collaborative projects, particularly in the area of entrepreneurship. Our Entrepreneurship Programme supports student start-ups and promotes collaborative entrepreneurship events.
STEAM for young innovators: RUN-FILS promotes social competences and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) for young people aged 6-17 across RUN-EU. We create learning spaces, organise competitions and provide training for staff and students to increase increase social innovation & STEAM knowledge among young citizens.
Students solving societal problems: RUN-RETOS encourages students to address societal problems and volunteer as part of their studies. We use service learning, offer a portal of opportunities and run a volunteer programme. Students can earn micro-credentials in community service.
