Student Council

At RUN-EU every student counts and no one is left behind.

We want to push you forward and listen to your opinion.

That’s why our governance structure includes a Student Council (SC) to ensure our students have the best international education experience possible.

The SC strategically advises the work of the Management Committee, coordinator, and work packages leaders, with an emphasis on student engagement activities, inclusion and multiculturalism, as well as on the implementation and format of the innovative mobility programmes.

Each RUN-EU higher education institution has its own regional SC that meets every six months to review and advise on the RUN-EU strategy, achievements and its impact at the institutional level.

During our annual Student Week, the students that compose each regional board come together to integrate the RUN-EU Student Council, which then elects eight students to participate in the RUN-EU General Assembly.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Student Council (SC) is an independent body that works as an active partner in the development and design of RUN-EU.

It strategically advises the work of the Management Committee, coordinator, and work packages leaders, with an emphasis on student engagement activities, inclusion and multiculturalism, as well as on the implementation and format of the innovative mobility programmes.

The SC advises, communicates and promotes the work developed by RUN-EU to all students, bringing awareness and motivating them to be active members of the community.

As a strategic RUN-EU body, it meets annually in person during the RUN-EU Student Week.

It’s an event that brings together the students that compose the SC. It aims to promote multiculturalism and multilingualism, in a unique multicultural, diverse and inclusive environment.

Students work as a group at the SC, where all their opinions and ideas are valued.

Each RUN-EU higher education institution has its own regional SC that meets every six months to review and advise on the RUN-EU strategy, achievements and impact at the institutional level.

During the annual Student Week, the students that compose each regional board come together to integrate the RUN-EU SC, which then elects one student per university to participate in the General Assembly.

To facilitate communication and the transfer of knowledge, you should be able to express your opinions in English (fluently).

Good knowledge of the official language of the country where you’re studying is also an asset.

The only planned activity is the General Assembly.

A document with guidelines on activities will be issued soon.

It depends on each higher education institution’s guidelines.

Your university may be able to help students with some of their activities, depending on the type of activity and budget.
