  • Vincent Cunnane, President of TUS & Chair of RUN-EU Alliance
  • Maria José Fernandes, President of IPCA
  • Paula Tavares, RUN-EU Institutional Coordinator, IPCA
  • Liam Brown, Vice President for Research, Development & Innovation, TUS

Speakers talked about the importance of universities working closely with society. They highlighted the key role of RUN-EU in achieving the research and innovation goals of the alliance. Strong partnerships between RUN-EU, businesses, and the wider communities were essential for supporting regional development. The speakers discussed the value of Open Science and stressed that research should be measured by its real-life impact, not just by how often it is cited in academic journals.

Opening welcome message.
