ONLINE WORKSHOP
Research Integrity, Open Science & FAIR Principles – FAIR is Fair!
28 May 2025
The Technological University of the Shannon (TUS) is organising the Online Workshop ‘Research Integrity, Open Science & FAIR Principles – FAIR is Fair!’ on 11 June 2025
This workshop will examine the links between Research Integrity and Open Science, with particular reference to the FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reproducible) principles.
The European Code of Conduct for Research Integrity (Allea, 2023) notes that good research practices are based on the four fundamental principles of research integrity: Reliability, Honesty, Respect, and Accountability.
These guidelines emphasise the ethical responsibility of researchers to adopt open science practices, such as openly sharing their data, methods, and tools. Open Science practices promote transparency and accountability, which in turn ensure research integrity.
