RUN-EU is organising the final TUS RISE seminar on ‘Entrepreneurship in and Around Universities’ on 20 November 2024.

The speaker is Prof. Thomas Hellmann, DP World Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Saïd School of Business, University of Oxford.

In this seminar, Prof. Hellmann will discuss his research and the initiatives he leads at the University of Oxford. The main question is how universities can better support entrepreneurship among students and staff and how to structure university spinouts.

Prof. Hellmann’s research looks at the controversial question of the consequences of universities taking ownership stakes in their spinout companies. His initiatives include student entrepreneurship training, accelerator programmes, and university seed funds at Oxford.
