RUN-EU has reached another significant milestone with the recent signing of two ground-breaking joint PhD programme agreements.

The ceremony took place at the Polytechnic University of Leiria, marking an important step towards international academic cooperation and excellence.

This collaboration will allow students from the participating universities to enrol in the following international programmes, offering them the unique opportunity to earn two degrees and two diplomas upon completion of their studies:

• Joint PhD degree in Digitalisation Engineering – Polytechnic University of Leiria (IPLeiria), Technological University of the Shannon (TUS), and Polytechnic University of Cávado and Ave (IPCA)
• Joint PhD degree in Data Science for Sustainability – Polytechnic University of Leiria (IPLeiria), University of Burgos (UBU), and Polytechnic University of Cávado and Ave (IPCA)

This achievement stands as a testament to the unwavering dedication and tireless efforts of our alliance. It showcases our commitment to breaking barriers, and building a community that values and promotes outstanding international education.

As a distinctive feature, these international doctoral programmes have more than 50 associated partner companies from the various regions and countries that make up RUN-EU.
