Working in multidisciplinary teams, participants developed innovative solutions addressing topics such as sustainability, digital transformation, smart mobility, environmental protection, community wellbeing and territorial development. Their proposals reflected the diversity of regional contexts across Europe while demonstrating how local challenges can inspire innovative solutions with wider societal impact.

One of the major innovations introduced in this edition was an international follow-up webinar bringing together the winning teams from each participating institution. During the event, students presented their projects to an international audience, exchanged experiences and explored how similar challenges are addressed across different European regions. The webinar strengthened peer learning, promoted intercultural dialogue and reinforced the European dimension of the initiative. Beyond developing innovative ideas, participants strengthened key transversal competences including creativity, teamwork, problem-solving, communication and entrepreneurial thinking. The INNOTHON also encouraged stronger collaboration between higher education institutions, schools and regional stakeholders, reinforcing RUN-EU’s mission of connecting education, innovation and regional development.

The event received very positive feedback from participants, with the vast majority indicating that the experience met or exceeded their expectations. Students particularly valued the opportunity to work on real societal challenges, collaborate with peers and present their ideas within an international environment.
