ONLINE WORKSHOP
Biographic Narrative Interpretive Method (BNIM)
5 February 2025
The Technological University of the Shannon (TUS) is hosting the Online Workshop ‘Biographic Narrative Interpretive Method (BNIM)’ on 21 March 2025.
Biographical research methods go deep into people’s lived realities, their everyday interactions, experiences, and relationships. The Biographic Narrative Interpretive Method (BNIM) is a distinct type of biographic research method; it is formulaic and poses distinct ethical challenges and questions. This presentation draws on the two presenters’ experiences of using BNIM and biographical methods more generally to capture the intricacies of everyday life. It also outlines how building capacity in biographic, narrative research methods is beneficial for social scientific and interdisciplinary research in RUN-EU.
