The Pilot RUN-EU Day at FHV: Embracing ‘The Future Starts Now’

30 January 2025

The RUN-EU Day is an annual event steered by the RUN-EU Dissemination and Cooperation Office, with each RUN-EU partner institution hosting its own event as part of the broader initiative.
The initiative aims to showcase the RUN-EU strategy, vision, and the necessary steps for institutionalisation, while also highlighting key results, outcomes, and best practices. It engages communities and stakeholders through storytelling and interactive activities.

The first RUN-EU Day took place on 17 June 2024 at the Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences (FHV) under the theme “The Future Starts Now.”

This face-to-face event welcomed 125 employees and provided a platform to explore the benefits and opportunities of being part of RUN-EU. Attendees gained insights into the new RUN-EU strategy at FHV through testimonials, peer-to-peer exchanges, and interactive question-and-answer tables.

With the institutionalisation of RUN-EU well underway, this pilot event strengthened awareness, the importance of participation in RUN-EU activities, and the necessity of involving all areas of the university in the process of becoming a true European University. Participants left with a broader understanding of RUN-EU’s impact, not only in fostering collaboration and providing professional and academic development opportunities but also in embedding the initiative across all institutional levels.

From 2025 and the second year of the implementation of RUN-EU 2.0 onwards, RUN-EU Day will become an annual multiplier event held across all RUN-EU partner institutions. The event will continue highlighting RUN-EU’s key initiatives, promoting mobility and cooperation, and connecting stakeholders across Europe.
