SHORT ADVANCED PROGRAMME

You Serious? An Inclusive Society for Young People – 4th edition

17 December 2024

The Short Advanced Programme (SAP) ‘You Serious? An Inclusive Society for Young People – 4th edition’ is jointly coordinated by the Häme University of Applied Sciences (HAMK), the Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences (FHV) and the NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences (NHL Stenden).

You serious about young people in society? Of course we are!

Young people are among the most vulnerable in our society. One out of five children live in families that are at risk of poverty and one-third of young adults in Europe are currently unemployed, not in education or training and therefore face social exclusion.

Social service, for instance through social work, can provide innovative and creative approaches to build inclusive and sustainable communities for young people and minimise social and climate inequalities. In this programme, you will be challenged to apply critical thinking to provide solutions to social issues commonly encountered in society.

In multidisciplinary design teams, students will contribute to inclusive methods to enhance the well-being of young people, help prevent social exclusion and develop innovative solutions tackling social and environmental inequalities.

The SAP is mainly designed for bachelor levels. Master and PhD students are welcome to apply.
