RUN-EU Launches Future Study Skills MOOC to support students’ learning and career development
26 June 2026
The RUN-EU alliance has introduced a new Future Study Skills Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), designed to help students thrive in international learning environments while supporting well-being, high-quality learning, and future career development. Open to learners across the RUN-EU network, the course reflects shared European values such as human dignity, equality, democracy, and respect for human rights.
The MOOC focuses on three key areas: intercultural collaboration, well-being and high-quality learning, and career building and future skills. Through four structured learning tasks, students are encouraged to take an active, reflective role in their studies and to co-create knowledge within a diverse European community.
Participants begin by exploring the RUN-EU Digital Guide for Studying, supported by a self-paced quiz to strengthen their understanding of effective digital learning practices. The course then invites students to examine their own cultural backgrounds in an activity where they reflect on everyday norms and consider how cultural differences may influence teamwork in multicultural settings, with optional support from AI as a reflective partner. Well-being and study skills are addressed in a section which focuses on organised studying, time management, and balancing academic work with rest and social life. Finally, a career planning activity guides learners to prototype three possible future career paths, encouraging self-reflection on strengths, aspirations, and how RUN-EU opportunities can support long-term professional development.
After completing all activities, students receive a certificate by email. The Future Study Skills MOOC offers a practical and reflective starting point for students who want to make the most of their studies within the RUN-EU network.
The Future Study Skills MOOC is now open for registration on the RUN-EU website, and the MOOC learning environment will be available from the beginning of September onwards.
