RUN-EU INNOTHON at TUL: Liberec Ideathon Challenges 24 hours for a more sustainable and knowledge-driven region

17 March 2026

The Technical University of Liberec (TUL) will once again co-organise the Liberec Ideathon 2026, taking place on 16 and 17 April 2026, at the Vratislavice 101010 cultural centre and the IGI community centre.

As part of this event, the RUN-EU Innothon “Liberec Ideathon Challenges: 24 hours for a more sustainable and knowledge-driven region” will be held – an intensive 24-hour innovation format focused on finding new solutions for regional development.

During the competition, students from secondary schools, vocational colleges, and universities will work in teams to tackle specific challenges reflecting the current needs of the Liberec Region. Topics include promoting a healthy lifestyle, revitalising public spaces, urban transformation, and the use of new technologies and innovations in education and social development.

Throughout the event, participants will have access to mentors and industry experts who will help them develop their ideas and provide professional feedback. At the end, teams will present their proposals to an expert jury, which will evaluate the projects based on innovation, feasibility, and their potential benefit to the region.

The RUN-EU Innothon offers students the opportunity to develop creativity, teamwork, and an entrepreneurial mindset while contributing to the search for new solutions that support the sustainable, knowledge-oriented development of the Liberec Region.
