RUN-EU Launches New Handbook for Short Learning Opportunities
26 December 2024
RUN-EU has created a new “Handbook for Short Learning Opportunities”, building upon the Standard Guidelines established during Cycle 1.
This updated resource introduces all joint educational opportunities, including new additional formats such as Collaborative Online International Learning (COILs) and Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs).
The Handbook outlines essential standards and guidelines for designing, implementing, and managing short learning opportunities within the alliance. RUN-EU short learning opportunities are designed to be modular and flexible, enabling personalised learning paths. They may be standalone, independent units or, when strategically planned, serve as integrated, stackable components towards a course, programme, or a larger qualification. The majority of RUN-EU short learning opportunities are collaborative in nature, involving at least two RUN-EU international partners as organisers. The Handbook aims to enhance the quality, transparency, and recognition of educational programmes both within and beyond the alliance.
Designed primarily for Joint Coordinating Teams (short learning opportunity coordinators) and participating institutions, the Handbook provides actionable guidance to ensure high-quality learning experiences and effective program delivery. It is a dynamic document, subject to updates to reflect the evolving needs of the RUN-EU community. The handbook is part of the work of the European Programmes Academy (WP2) and has been prepared by EDUHUB with leadership from the Polytechnic University of Cávado and Ave and contributions from all partners.
Developed resources reinforce RUN-EU’s commitment to innovative, high-quality education and professional development opportunities across Europe.
