SHORT ADVANCED PROGRAMME
Business Intelligence with Power BI: Transforming Data into Strategic Insights
12 December 2024
The Short Advanced Programme (SAP) ‘Business Intelligence with Power BI: Transforming Data into Strategic Insights’ is jointly coordinated by the Howest University of Applied Sciences, and the Polytechnic University of Cávado and Ave (IPCA).
In this SAP, students learn to transform raw data into strategic insights using Business Intelligence (BI) techniques and Power BI.
A key focus is on data visualisation, where students learn to create compelling visual reports and dashboards that communicate complex data effectively. They explore best practices for selecting the appropriate visuals to convey specific insights and apply storytelling techniques to present data in a meaningful way.
This programme covers skills in data extraction, transformation, modelling, and DAX calculations alongside AI-powered analytics like clustering and forecasting.
It is structured into a 6-week online learning phase followed by a face-to-face week in Bruges, Belgium.
