RUN-EU INNOTHON at IPLeiria: Smart Cities and Smart Villages – Innovation Hackathon

The Polytechnic University of Leiria (IPLeiria) is organising the RUN-EU Innothon ‘Smart Cities, Smart Villages – Innovation Hackathon’ on 20 and 21 March 2026 at the Centro Ciência Viva do Alviela – Carsoscópio (CCVA) in Alcanena, Portugal.
This is a 24-hour challenge competition, but fun is also on the menu.
The event takes place at the CCVA, starting late Friday afternoon and ending on Saturday afternoon.
Participation is free and includes:
- Dedicated bus transport will be provided from the School of Technology and Management (ESTG) in Leiria to the CCVA and back;
- Overnight stay at the Alviela Centre’s facilities;
- All meals.
This competition is organised within the framework of RUN-EU, and the winning project will be showcased in video format during a final European-level session.
All participants will receive a certificate of participation upon completion of the competition.
