RUN-EU Tech Takeover:
Pupils Become the Teachers
21 August 2025
Recently, the NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences organised a ‘tech take-over’ with 11 and 12-year-old pupils at the SWS De Frissel in Drachtstercompagnie.
The pupils were asked to design activities for the younger classes using the technology from the Challenge Lab, which had been brought to the school. The goal was for them to use technology to teach their fellow pupils something new, taking on the role of the ‘teacher’ themselves.
Working in pairs, they used tools such as Dash, Photon, the Indy robot, Bluebots, Beebots, Cue, and other robots. In a short time, they had developed a range of creative and engaging activities.
In the morning, they guided pupils aged 4 to 8, then adapted their activities for those aged 9 to 11.
It was a fun and inspiring day, not only for the pupils, but also for the teachers and everyone involved!
