RUN-EU Innovation Day at UBU
Entrepreneurship & Technological Innovation in Business Project

The RUN-EU Office of the University of Burgos (UBU), in Spain is organising the RUN-EU Innovation Day on 12 November 2024.
This day aims to spread the culture of innovation among the general public, explaining what:
- UBU & RUN-EU do to innovate
- How research leads to innovation and trying to awaken the innovative vocation among citizens
It is also a day to present some of the latest entrepreneurial projects developed, either in the institution or supported by it, and to present to the university community and Burgos society, in general, the work of some of the entrepreneurial projects developed in the institution, which have transformed their technological innovations into a business project.
The event will explore new synergies between the public and the participants, and strengthen the links between the business network and other interested parties.
The programme will include a presentation of the RUN-EU alliance and the UBUemprende programme, a presentation of the start-ups’ business projects and will end with a Q&A and networking session.

Álvaro Lobo and Lucas Olivella present the start-up “Tokenized Green”, a collective investment platform that uses blockchain technology to allow anyone to invest from €50 in sustainable real estate and renewable energy projects, positively impacting society and simultaneously achieving profitability.
From the Arlanza region of Burgos comes “Aire de Arlanza”, thanks to Libertad Cabal, its promoter. It is a rural enterprise that, through a natural and local resource such as lavender cultivation, offers a wide range of agro-tourism products and experiences related to this aromatic herb.
The Burgos startup focuses on IoT product development and the digitalisation of analogue devices, integrating connectivity and data intelligence. “IOThing” has launched an innovative pressure measurement device that can be attached to a pressure gauge, allowing pressure data to be collected and shared with external devices.
